Does anyone know if the local childrens cancer unit (hospital) collects homemade chemo caps / hats for children?

Would be nice if we could donate a few hats to these kids.

I don't know if the cancer unit collects chemo caps/hats or not. I know we sent a lot of hats last year for the caps for the capital charity. This is a very nice idea and maybe some members would like to participate. I already do some charity work and don't really have time right now to do more, but I will mention it to other members. Keep up the great suggestions, we can always use them.

`I would be more than happy to help out with this! Just let me know what type of caps you are looking for......or, even if you have a pattern, then we could all make the same type?

Just let me know if you get something started here, and I would be more than willing to make some caps.

I would like to make a few hats here and there as well. Someone can be designated to be the person that the hats are given to and then after they have a few hats (maybe 20?, 30?) they can be delivered to a charity/hospital that everyone votes on. I will start a poll soon with some good choices and see if there is a favorite or if we can make some for a couple different ones. I will also put a choice to rotate charities/hospitals.

Everyone's participation in this will be welcome and appreciated. Both crocheted and knitted hats are welcome.

For now, I will volunteer to be the "collector" of the hats until and unless someone else would like to do it. Maybe we could have one person one year and then another person the next year.

Yes, a few of us are making hats to donate to a charity. Please feel free to do any charity work you would like and to advise us on it so that we may participate if we want to. Thank you.
