Come to Knit Night at the Scrap Exchange! This new co-ed crafters group was established to bring knitters from the Triangle area together to share projects and socialize. The group will be volunteer guided and will focus on incorporating reclaimed supplies, upcycling and sharing ideas with the local community. Meet, mingle, stitch and bit...I mean, knit! Trade yarns and yarn tricks! Have fun comparing patterns, sharing techniques and trading tips on stitches, sweaters and mittens.
Join us a couple times a month to share ideas while spinning by wheel or spindle. Experienced spinners as well as newbies are welcome! If you don't have a wheel we may have one to rent. We also have availability of a private lesson offered by Yarn Tree Studio if that is something you would like. This is more about knitting and crocheting than sewing. We'll meet on the first and third Thursday evenings at the Open Eye Cafe in Carrboro. But someone who's doing hand sewing is more than welcome (but I don't think the Cafe can accommodate sewing machines)!
