This is more about knitting and crocheting than sewing. We'll meet on the first and third Thursday evenings at the Open Eye Cafe in Carrboro. But someone who's doing hand sewing is more than welcome (but I don't think the Cafe can accommodate sewing machines)!

Crocheting is something that can be relaxing and fun! This is our goal: to relax, chat, eat and have some fun! Come join us and bring along your current project to work on. Several times a year we work on different Service Projects. We have made many blankets, baby hats and scarves that have been donated to our soldiers in Afghanistan, Wake Med, Ewe To You, Raleigh Resue Mission, Interact and other agencies. For fun we have an annual Christmas Party, share a pattern library, have special door …

Meet, mingle, stitch and bit...I mean, knit! Hi all you Raleigh knitters out there! I hope you're as excited as we are about this meetup group, which allows us all to knit or crochet in good company and to trade patterns, techniques, and stories. We began the group so that we would be encouraged to set aside time to relax and knit, but also to help build a sense of community in this town and to meet people that we might not otherwise meet in our daily circles of work and life. We generally meet …
For those that are enamored with the craft of yarn and needles, hooks, spindles or wheels: come join us! We will spend a little talk time along with enjoying our favorite craft. Our goal? Having fun...sharing ideas, patterns, techniques and learning from each other. And we always enjoy seeing everyone's projects, whether you knit, crochet, tat, spin or weave. At this time, there will be no formal dues to belong to the group.
A platform for people to learn the basics of a variety of crafting techniques. Welcome to Jack’s Crafts! My goal in starting this group is to fill a gap for crafters who can’t or won’t stick to just one craft. I hope we’ll learn from each other while enriching our creative lives and making new friends. Jack’s Crafts will be a place where participants can relax, learn new techniques or new uses for old techniques, and most importantly--have fun, all through monthly workshops run by members just …
Join us a couple times a month to share ideas while spinning by wheel or spindle. Experienced spinners as well as newbies are welcome! If you don't have a wheel we may have one to rent. We also have availability of a private lesson offered by Yarn Tree Studio if that is something you would like. Some of our plans are to have a Wheel Round Robin (where you can try out several different wheel), a Spindle Round Robin (for hand spindlers), Fiber Trades, Fiber Round Robin (so you can try small bits o …

Come to Knit Night in Durham! This knitting and crafting group was started in March of 2012 and has grown ever since. It was formed to bring knitters and crafters from the Triangle together to socialize, share ideas and work on projects in a group setting. Bring your own supplies and join us to share your project, get feedback and new ideas in a positive environment or just come to meet new people and chit chat. Hope to see you there!

Since we're starting around dinner time, please bring a snack or drink (wine is always nice XD) to share with everyone. Please RSVP to let me know if you'll be coming. I'll be working on my crocheting, feel free to bring whatever craft your working on with you.
Do you love to cross stitch or hand embroider? Do you want to spend time with folks who love the same and share advice? Let's get together and stitch in public! If the knitters can do it so can the cross stitchers, hand embroiderers and needlepointers! :)
